  • Independent in Texas, you make a very good argument as to why I supported the health care bill. I currently have no health care, neither does my wife. It's not by choice, as insurance carriers have blacked balled us. I want to pay my way, but I can't make that happen.

  • finncrisp, I rarely watch TV....Most of my research comes from different sources and is verified at least twice....Yes, the VA is one of the best liked hospitals in America today according to a recent survey.

  • Socalized medicine.....The same old tired arguments that were used in the mid 1960's with the same old fear tactics that long ago we'd be a socalized country like the old USSR. Hasn't happened and will not happen now....Please right wing, come up with a good argument.

  • People say they don't want socialized medicine.....What about 1) Medicare, 2) U.S. Congress' care, 3) VA Hospitals and 4) Prisoners of War (Guantanamo Bay) are required to have coverage. All of these are socialized medicine and all work quite well.

  • OK, showing my age....everyone talks about the 1980 hockey team...what about the 1960 hockey team who also won a gold medal....the power of TV (1980)....Buster Douglas....Couldn't even get a betting line, which I heard was 42-1 at 3 casinos in Las Vegas.
